Installing rdiff-backup on CentOS 6 or 7

• check wget pkgs.repoforge.org/…iff-backup for correct version

wget http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup-1.2.8-4.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
rpm -ivh rdiff-backup*.rpm

• A cleaner way of doing is is with EPEL as per www.centosblog.com/…d-centos-6
• Here are the instructions for CentOS 7

rpm -Uvh http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
rpm -Uvh http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/beta/7/x86_64/epel-release-7-0.2.noarch.rpm #for 7
yum-config-manager --disable epel     #disable since we only want one package
yum --enablerepo=epel -y install rdiff-backup
